needed: phillips head screwdriver flathead screwdriver
very small ratchet driver w/ 10mm bit 3/8" ratchet and 5/8" spark plug socket and 4" extension
On a related note this tune up includes
several sections to this install you may not need to do all of the
items that we did.
On to the Tune Up
Step 1:
Let the car sit over night and always start your day off by having a
good meal. The reason for waiting till the morning after you purchase
the item is to let the vehicle cool.
Step 2:
As you can see we laid out all the items that we were replacing and a
few other as well such as the fuel filter and O2 we will discuss those
items later in this install.
Step 3: We started by chalking the tires, jacking the car up, and
securing it on jack stands. For safety reasons, I always slide the
tires under the car as well that way if it does fall it does not fall
far

I like to have the car jacked up incase I have a
stubborn wire or plug that I have to get to through the fender well
.
Step
4: After jacking the car up and securing it you will need to prep the
engine bay by removing a few items loosen the clamps with the flat
head screwdriver and remove the air tube.

Next loosen the fender bolts that holds the
MAF on with the 11mm socket. After you have loosened the MAF
disconnect the harness and place MAF to the side. (I like to store
items like this in the trunk)

Step 5: Next take the new spark plugs out and gap the to .054.

Step 6: Next remove the old cap and rotor. You may need a small pair of pliers
to remove the rotor. Replace the old rotor by sliding the new in
place.

Step
7: Remove the old wire. Be careful not to bust your knuckles.
Step 8: Install the new cap. I use a gel pen to mark the firing order on tops
of the post of the cap I use this type because it comes off very easy
by just rubbing on it
Step 9: Remove the plugs and inspect them because they tell you how you engine
it running by what shape they are in. Replace the old plugs with the
new as you go this keeps trash from falling into your cylinders.
Warning: do not over tighten the plugs or
you will be doing a head swap or rethreading the spark plug hole.

Note a healthy engine plug should have a light grey or light
brownish color to it.
Step 10: Install the wires and route them through the wire looms the last thing
you want is a plug wire the is burnt in half.

The most difficult spot to route the wires is on the passenger side
by the smog tubes if you still have them on.

Step
11: After routing the wires to the cap it should look like this.

Step 12:
Install the new wire hold cap with the provided philips head screws.
Rember this is plastic so tighten it to tight.

Step 13: Reinstall the MAF with the 10 mm bolts and hook the connector back up.
Reinstall the air tube.

After installing jack the car back up reinstall the tires remove
the jack stands tighten up the lug nuts to the correct specifications
lower the car re-check all the lug nuts put the caps back on and crank
it back and your done do not forget to remove your chalks.

Step 15: Crank the engine and it should purr like a kitten..
